DARTS - EXCITEMENT is mounting as the ESRIC Darts League continues this weekend with round seven and eight scheduled for Gwamile VOC TIM on Saturday. The competition, which carries a E150 000 prize, promises another thrilling showdown among the country's top darts teams.
PRO Flag Nxumalo said all fixtures had been confirmed and teams were ready to lock horns in what was expected to be a decisive weekend in the title race. The league's top three sides, Green Spears, Scorpions and Green Arrows are all in action and will be looking to protect their positions at the summit.
Round seven will begin at 1pm, featuring key clashes such as Green Spears vs Green Arrows, a battle that could heavily influence the championship standings. Both sides have been in excellent form with Green Spears leading the pack, thanks to consistent high scores and accuracy at the board. Green Arrows, however, are not far behind and will be hoping to narrow the gap in this head-to-head encounter.
Meanwhile, Scorpions will face Smesh and Bonz in what promises to be another tense contest. Scorpions have shown remarkable precision in recent rounds and will be aiming to maintain their top-three position as the season edges closer to the business end. Other notable fixtures include ESRIC vs Green Roses; Malkerns Rebels vs Elangeni Vipers and Remnants vs Mbabane City, while Umililo take on Zebras to round off the afternoon matches.
Round eight will follow at 2:30pm with fresh matchups that could shake up the standings even further. Green Spears will face Remnants, Scorpions will meet ESRIC, and Green Arrows will go against Malkerns Bulls; all crucial ties for teams chasing league glory.
