The spirit of giving is truly alive at Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation

Giving does not necessarily mean you have more than plenty, but it is born out of the realization that sharing makes the community a better place.”

These were the Corporation’s General Manager Mr Zama Ngcobo’s remarks during the 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSI) presentation.

This year, ESRIC social responsibility program is valued at E1.7 million and is spread across such sectors as education, health, social welfare, entrepreneurship and sports. As has been the case over the past few years, the organization continues to contribute to the same beneficiaries not only because it believes in the work that they do but also because it enables ESRIC to be in a better position to evaluate the impact of the CSI program.

In total, 18 beneficiary organizations received donations on the day. These include UNESWA Foundation, Cheshire Homes, The Eswatini Breast Cancer Network, Ekumeni Primary School, Mbabane Rotary Club Oral Health Project, Eswatini Sugar Association Farmers Competition, Junior Achievement, ENACTUS Eswatini, The Anti-venom Foundation, Sifundzani Primary and High Schools, SEDCO Entrepreneur of the year Awards, Esicojeni Foundation, Cornerstone Help Centre, Zondle Girls Home, SOS, UBLS Foundation and Gogo Nde’s Orphanage.

Dr Musa Mthethwa of Mbabane Rotary Club thanked ESRIC on behalf of all the beneficiaries. He highlighted the positive impact that the program has had and continues to have on their efforts to make the country a better place for those who cannot afford basic services. According to Dr Mthethwa, the Rotary Club of Mbabane was able to attend to over 1500 pupils with dental issues and the educated over 3000 on dental health in the northern Hhohho region.

The Corporation has also invested in various development in sports like Golf, Darts and under 13 girls and boys soccer tournament through the Scara Thindwa Soccer Foundation. “We know that what we are presenting today is a small drop for what you need. For us this is a contribution towards the noble work that you do. We thank you’ said the General Manager, Zama Ngcobo.
