MBABANE - Sibusiso Shongwe produced a masterclass on the greens to claim top honours in the Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation (ESRIC) Monthly Mug.
This was during the monthly tournament which was held on Saturday at the Mbabane Golf Club. Shongwe put on a polished performance, carding an impressive gross score of 76 to take home the gross winner title.
His consistency and precision also earned him the net winner accolade with a superb net score of 69, comfortably ahead of Mzwandile Vilakati, who finished runner-up on 71.
Sibusiso Ndzabandzaba claimed third spot on countback with a score of 72, narrowly edging out Nosmilo Kgomo, Mduduzi Hlophe and Sandile Chonco, who also posted 72 apiece in a tightly-contested leaderboard.
Hlophe's booming drives caught the eye as he bagged the Longest Drive (Men) award, while Clement Nhleko showcased pin-point accuracy to win Nearest to the Pin (8/17). Vuyo Dlamini claimed Nearest to the Pin (9/18) and Bandzile Nhleko took home Nearest to the Pin (2/11) honours.
