ESRIC rewards loyal clients with E5 000 each

STARTING the year on a positive note, the Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation (ESRIC) has rewarded 10 of its loyal clients with E50 000 worth of school fees.

The presentation took place yesterday, with each client receiving E5 000 as part of the ESRIC Client Celebration Campaign, which started in October and concluded in December. Presenting the vouchers, ESRIC Assistant General Manager Corporate Services Musa Simelane said a total of 377 clients qualified for the campaign, and only 10 were randomly selected, making their win a truly remarkable stroke of luck.

"The winners were the beneficiaries of both time and chance," Simelane said, adding that the saying 'he who laughs last, laughs longest' certainly applied. "Considering the prize won by these last winners compared to what others received previously, they truly have the longest laugh."

Simelane also expressed gratitude to the winners for entrusting ESRIC with their insurance needs. "The insurance industry was deregulated 17 years ago, in 2008. Clients could have chosen to go elsewhere, yet they have remained loyal to ESRIC. This loyalty cannot be taken for granted," he said.

He continued: "Without sounding self-congratulatory, the fact that clients have chosen to stay with us despite stiff competition validates that we are delivering value they deem worthwhile. It shows that ESRIC meets clients' expectations and trust." Simelane explained that the campaign's criteria required policies to be up to date, KYC documents current, and most importantly, that clients use the mobile application.

He also emphasised that insurance is indispensable. "There is often a perception that insurance is expensive, yet it is affordable. For example, ladies spend as little on beauty treatments, and men on entertainment, as it would cost to secure a house worth E5 million with an insurance premium," he said.

The purpose of the campaign, which commenced in October, was to appreciate the support of clients in making ESRIC the leading insurer in both life and non-life divisions within the country. Overall, the total competition prize was valued at E100 000, with the October 10 and November 10 winners each walking away with a grocery voucher worth E2 500.
