MBABANE – The long-standing partnership between ESRIC and the Eswatini National Darts Association (ENDA) is set to continue.
Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation (ESRIC) has renewed its sponsorship for the upcoming season. According to ENDA Public Relations Officer (PRO), Flag 'Mjekwa' Nxumalo, the insurance company has once again pledged its financial support, marking the 15th consecutive year the two organisations have worked together since their first engagement in 2010. "We have secured a new sponsorship with the Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation to the tune of E150 000," Nxumalo announced.
Nxumalo revealed that the new league season is anticipated to kick off this coming weekend, though the ENDA Board is finalising a venue. "We are in consultation with Elangeni High School to use their hall for our league matches, but I would like to assure teams and darts enthusiasts that the league is definitely starting this week," he confirmed. However, the new season will proceed without the defending champions, Malkerns Club, who have not registered. Nxumalo noted that they are awaiting official details following reports that the champions have been dissolved. Despite this loss, the league is welcoming two new teams: Malkerns Bulls, a side from the Malkerns Town Board and Zebras of Big Bend. Nxumalo concluded by extending thanks to ESRIC for their sustained sponsorship, urging teams to prepare for the start of the league and encouraging players to maintain good conduct throughout the games.
